No, not the kind you take every morning (or at least we HOPE you do!), but the kind that was thrown to celebrate the arrival of Quincy in our family. We are SO blessed (have we said this enough?!) to have so many family and friends support us and celebrate with us! Saturday, July 11th, a baby shower was given by Sunny's sisters, Lindsay and Hilary and her friend, Ali. Sunny's mom opened up her home and so many other friends volunteered with everything from the cake (Thanks, Grandma Carol!!), punch (Thanks, Amy!!), picture taking (Thanks, Britt) and amazing cookies (Thanks, Natalie!!).
It was so fun to see old friends, visit and introduce Quincy to everyone too! She was certainly spoiled... I mean loved!:) How many babies get to say they were at their own shower?! She enjoyed being passed around too!
Some fun highlights:
Hilary almost starting a fire in the house... who knew baby diapers couldn't go in the microwave?! LOL One of the games played involved melting candy bars in diapers so it looked like... umm... you know and guessing what kind of candy. She thought she could save time by just throwing the candy already in the diaper and melting it in the microwave. Lesson learned - diapers and microwaves DON'T mix!! :)
Sunny's Grandma came down from her summer home for the shower! It takes something special to get her to do that!!!!
